The Association of Independent Schools of SA (AISSA) is the peak education body for the independent school sector in South Australia. It plays a critical leadership role in providing advice and information, representing the independent sector to governments and shaping change across the sector while providing a forum for debate on significant policy issues.

This newly created position provides leadership and high level advice on education policy and associated programs. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating a range of integrated services to meet the needs of member schools, budget management and overall program management (in particular, capital works).

Applications are invited from exceptional relationship builders with a detailed knowledge and understanding of the emerging education policy agenda, organisational change, school leadership, teacher quality, governance, school administration and funding mechanisms relating to the sector.

Tertiary qualifications in education or a relevant discipline are essential. Your strategic leadership qualities, highly developed communication and negotiation skills, political astuteness, energy, resilience and diplomacy will enable you to develop the strong stakeholder relationships required to succeed in the role.
