CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Motor Accident Commission

The Motor Accident Commission (MAC) is dedicated to the safety and welfare of all South Australian road users. MAC is responsible for the provision of the State’s compulsory third party (CTP) insurance scheme to assist the victims of road crashes and also manages the State’s road safety communications program.

Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Affairs, this newly crafted role will be responsible for:

• managing MAC’s sponsorship program to maximise opportunities to improve road safety in alignment with the mass media program;
• identifying and converting media and communication opportunities to further enhance the positioning, reputation and message of MAC;
• identifying, developing and delivering PR messages beyond paid media;
• managing a range of MAC communications projects including the annual report, website, branding initiatives and CTP market research;
• negotiating, managing and deriving maximum benefits from the contractual arrangements with sponsorship recipients;
• preparing high quality written materials for a range of MAC activities.

Applications are invited from proven communications professionals with appropriate qualifications and experience in a comparably senior role. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are naturally essential and should ideally be complemented by strong negotiation, problem solving, innovation and research capabilities. Exposure to social and new media communication methodologies will also be highly regarded.
