MANUFACTURING MANAGER

A division of one of Australia’s largest and most successful manufacturing organisations with a substantial and growing global presence, Amcor Cartons Australasia is a leading supplier of folding cartons packaging to a wide range of industries. A rare opportunity has emerged to join and add value to this innovative market leader based at its Regency Park site.

Reporting to the site based General Manager and working closely with the Group Manager - Manufacturing, responsibilities of this critical role will include:

• scoping, developing and leading the execution of the manufacturing strategy for the site;
• monitoring, controlling and continually improving upon manufacturing processes;
• proactively promoting and maintaining a strong culture of both customer service and safety for the operation;
• leading, motivating, developing and managing a staff of around 90;
• delivering capital development projects on time and within budgetary constraints;
• contributing to overall business strategy as a key member of the Senior Management Team.

Applications are encouraged from experienced operations or manufacturing professionals with appropriate technical qualifications and the communication, negotiation, commercial analysis, problem solving, conflict resolution and leadership skills necessary in a role of this type. The capacity to innovate, influence and motivate will also be critical qualities in the appointee.
