Following a recent organisational review, a new operational management structure has been created for the Hospital and Orthopaedic Division. The Director, Nursing & Clinical Services is a newly created position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead the strategic and operational management of clinical nursing services across the Hospital, Day Surgery and Orthopaedic Outpatient Clinic.

Key responsibilities will include leading a high performing team in the delivery of quality nursing outcomes for patients, and managing the physical care, nursing, financial and human resource services for all outpatient and inpatient hospital services. Strategic focus is required to implement and develop clinical governance practices, business plans, coordination of the nursing workforce, and to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards. In addition, this position will lead a range of projects aligned to growth and expansion plans that contribute towards SPORTSMED•SA’s commitment to quality services, patient care and innovation in orthopaedic health care.

Applicants must hold a current practising certificate with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia, and additional tertiary business qualifications will be highly regarded. Previous senior management experience, leadership of accreditation processes, strong contemporary people management, influencing and communication skills, and the energy and drive to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment are essential qualities sought.
