PROGRAM MANAGER - ACCESSIBLE CITY

The Adelaide City Council has a vision to be a vibrant, populous and sustainable Capital City built upon Adelaide’s heritage and lifestyle. The Council is currently undergoing a significant transformation to be a more responsive, accountable and proactive organisation.

A diverse and exciting new role has been created for an accomplished professional to take accountability for ensuring that transport and parking meets the needs of all visiting and moving around the City.

Reporting to the General Manager – Accessible City, Active City, Finance & Risk, the prime responsibilities of this pivotal role will be leading and managing the following functions :-

• formulation and implementation of innovative and sustainable transport strategies;
• key stakeholder relations including Federal and State Government agencies;
• off-street parking (UParks);
• on-street operations and parking control;
• the Adelaide Connector Bus and City Bikes services;
• the Adelaide Central Bus Station.

Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified and experienced professionals with strong leadership, communication, negotiation and problem solving skills. Strategic thinking and organisation skills are also necessary to make a genuine impact in this domain.

The role may suit candidates from a range of professional profiles with the most essential requirements being the capacity to develop an engaged, achievement focused culture and to juggle strategic pathways with operational outcomes whilst maximising multiple and diverse stakeholder satisfaction.
