Austral Bricks also focuses on developing its people, and as a result of internal promotion, it now seeks to appoint a dynamic and commercially astute engineer to manage the Adelaide based plant.
Reporting to the General Manager SA, the focus of the role is to ensure maximum operational efficiency and continuous improvement of the plant, systems and process. Other responsibilities of this leadership role include :-
• driving a culture of Best Practice OH&S and quality management;
• providing leadership and effective human resource management;
• ensuring timely and accurate financial and budget management;
• maintaining quality production performance and processes;
• ensuring statutory compliance.
The successful candidate will ideally have tertiary qualifications in engineering with demonstrated success in a continuous, high volume manufacturing environment. This position would suit somebody seeking to advance to the next stage of their career in overseeing plant operations, with further career development opportunities available within the group. Strong commercial acumen, together with the ability to provide effective leadership and manage multiple projects, will be pivotal to your success.
