A Tier 1 supplier to the global automotive industry, our client is a rapidly expanding company able to offer excellent career prospects within Australia and overseas. The company, a supplier of sub-assemblies, seeks to appoint a highly motivated and professional Technical Manager with the capability of being 2IC to the Operations Manager at its Adelaide operation.

Located at the company’s modern plant, you will be responsible for the leadership and management of the engineering, services and quality teams in delivering improvements and change that contribute to the achievement of the company’s long term strategic objectives as a profitable world class supplier. This will involve ongoing management and development of high performing teams and implementing change and new processes with an emphasis on lean manufacturing principles, strategies and techniques. The role will also oversee the implementation of total quality and production maintenance systems.

You will need to be a qualified engineer with management experience and a solid understanding of the application of Lean Principles and JIT manufacturing practices. Demonstrated abilities in delivering projects on time in accordance with expectations, as well as outstanding people leadership skills with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams are essential.
