CHC Helicopters (Australia), a subsidiary of the largest international operator of civil helicopters, provides aviation services throughout Australia and East Timor.

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the company complies with CASA regulations and also for managing and conducting all aircraft transfers, import and export of Australian registered aircraft. In addition, you will manage the Systems of Maintenance approval processes, maintain the company’s register of aircraft and equipment and airworthiness compliance requirements for the operating fleet, and approvals such as Certificate of Approval and Air Operators Certificate as well as procedural documentation and manuals.

A sound background in aviation, preferably gained within a similar role in Engineering or Quality is essential. In addition to your recent continuing airworthiness management expertise, you will need to be able to achieve the necessary criteria to hold a CASA Instrument for the issue of an Aircraft Certificate of Airworthiness. Working across a group of professionals, you will have a team approach combined with the ability to work in an independent manner. The ability to deal with competing priorities is a necessary quality.
