SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Envestra Limited is Australia’s largest natural gas distribution company and is well placed to participate in future growth opportunities in the national energy market. With its head office in Adelaide, turnover of around $400 million and extensive infrastructure assets worth $2.6 billion, the Company now seeks the talents of a professional and commercially minded senior business analyst.

Reporting to the Manager Regulatory Strategy and working closely with all senior executives, responsibilities of this key analytical role are :-

• developing quantitative business models and collating and analysing financial information to help develop commercial strategies;
• maintaining a reporting methodology for tracking actual costs of major projects against plans and regulatory benchmarks;
• preparing papers and submissions for regulatory authorities and senior management;
• assisting with general analytical project work as required;
• researching and monitoring developments in the energy sector;
• representing Envestra on commercial and regulatory working groups.

Tertiary qualifications in economics, commerce, accounting, science, maths or a related business discipline and strong commercial acumen are essential requirements. Experience in a business analyst role ideally within a regulated environment will also be a distinct advantage.

Your advanced Excel skills and exposure to financial modelling will ideally be complemented by strong research capability and the ability to effectively communicate complex information both verbally and in writing.

A remuneration package commensurate with the necessary skills and experience will be negotiated with the successful candidate. This is a rare opportunity to join a publicly listed company in Adelaide and be part of the close-knit team that manages the business.
