WorkCoverSA manages the South Australian Workers Rehabilitation and Compensation Scheme which provides protection to workers and employers in the event of a workplace injury. The vision is best possible recovery, faster return to work. The organisation now seeks a strategic, innovative and commercially focused individual to lead the business through the next phase of its development.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the highly experienced and representative Board, the responsibilities of this rare SA leadership role will include :-

• leading improvements in return to work outcomes for workers and their employers;
• delivering the benefits of recent Scheme reforms and managing significant outsourced contracts;
• ensuring a fully funded, affordable and sustainable Scheme in the long term and developing and implementing strategic plans;
• building strong and productive relationships with strategic partners and key stakeholders;
• leading and motivating the dedicated staff and overseeing the ongoing governance, operations and resources of the organisation.

This position will suit an accomplished CEO or General Manager with experience guiding a large and complex entity. Experience in insurance, workers compensation or a comparable complex stakeholder environment will be a distinct advantage. Drive, energy, resilience, intelligence and genuine leadership capability will be critical personal qualities in the appointee and high level communication and negotiation skills and commercial and political acumen are equally important for success in the role.
