TEAM LEADER - RISK AND AUDIT

It employs over 800 people and has an annual budget of around $140m. The Council is undergoing a significant transformation to be a more responsive, accountable and proactive entity.
Reporting to the Executive Program Manager – Finance and Risk, this newly crafted role will take responsibility for :-
• providing strong leadership to the Risk and Audit Team to ensure the efficient delivery of risk and audit services;
• overseeing insurance, FOI, delegations, elections and the overall risk management and internal audit system;
• managing the relationship with external legal advisors and providing support and advisory services to both senior management and the Audit Committee;
• proactively contributing to continuous improvement in the risk and audit infrastructure of the organisation.
Applications are encouraged from appropriately qualified professionals with extensive risk management and audit experience and the strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, interpretation and organisation skills necessary to manage this important function.
The remuneration package for this critical role will be commensurate with skills and experience.
